    As the Social Care Apprenticeship Lead for South West London you will lead the development and delivery of a programme of work to increase the awareness, availability and take up of social care apprenticeships across South West London as part of the wider South West London Health and Care Apprenticeship Hub.

    This will be achieved through close working with a wide range of partners including social care employers, local authorities, SWL NHS and training, education and employment partners.

    Engage with social care employers to provide information, promote the benefits of apprenticeships and support to help them to offer, recruit to and deliver apprenticeships.

    # Support social care providers in recruiting and successfully managing apprentices so they achieve a good rate of completion and the apprentices secure permanent jobs in social care in SWL.
    # Promote social care apprenticeships to local residents and the existing health and care workforce working closely with local authorities, employers, South London Careers Hub, Social Care Hub, training providers.
    # Work with colleges, higher education institutions and training providers to help ensure there is a good offering of social care apprenticeships available to SWL social care employers and learners that meet their needs.
    # Ensure join up between this work and the wide range of other work in this area including SWL Social Care Hub, South London Careers Hub, the ICP Workforce Priority programme.
    # Ensure review and evaluation of the progress and impact of this work and use this learning to help develop plans for future sustainability of work on social care apprenticeships.

    The role will be based in the South London Partnership and work closely with the South West London Apprenticeship Hub led by our SWL NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB).

    South London Partnership is a local authority led sub-regional partnership working across the five boroughs of Croydon, Kingston, Merton and Sutton (and Wandsworth for this role) on areas where collaboration leads to increased influence, increased powers and funding and better delivery of the services our residents need.

    This is a fixed term contract or secondment until 31st March 2025.

    You will be solution focused with strong programme and project management experience, a self-starter and team player, with experience of leading complex projects, building partnerships, creating networks and maintaining strong relationships.

    You will have experience of working with employers and ideally a good working knowledge of apprenticeships and the health and care sector.
