- Safely and efficiently operate a Counterbalance FLT to unload, load, and move materials and equipment within the warehouse.
- Receive incoming goods, inspect packages for damages, verify quantities, and accurately record details in the inventory management system.
- Safely perform physical tasks such as labelling, sorting, counting, and packaging materials as per company standards.
- Organise and maintain inventory storage areas, ensuring proper labelling organization, and cleanliness.
- Conduct regular stock checks, highlighting discrepancies or shortages, and update inventory records accordingly.
- Collaborate with the purchasing and production teams to ensure materials and equipment are available when needed.
- Assist in preparing goods for dispatch, ensuring accuracy of order details, and coordinating with logistics personnel.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Perform general warehouse duties, such as equipment maintenance, stock rotation, and disposal of waste materials. Requirements - Valid Counterbalance FLT (Forklift Truck) license is desirable
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably in an engineering environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling and recording materials.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual lifting and movement of heavy items.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems are desirable.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
