    Fixed Term Role.

    An opportunity has arisen foran administrative officer to provide support for the Equality and Involvementteam working in a busy department at South West Yorkshire PartnershipFoundation Trust.

    We are looking for a goodcommunicator, who is enthusiastic and adaptable, and a self-motivatedindividual to work within our team. Ifyou would like to make a positive contribution to service user/carersexperience and to address health inequalities, then we would like to hear fromyou.

    Previous experience of workingin a similar role would be an advantage, though not essential as support andtraining will be provided.

    The successful candidate willbe entitled to: 27 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) on joining the Trustand we offer flexible and hybrid working.

    In return, we expect you to bemotivated and hard working with a positive approach to providing excellentservice within the team.

    Main duties of the job

    The successful candidate willneed to have excellent communication, administrative andorganisational/prioritisation skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office,Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, managing outlook diaries/email inbox(personal/team), minute taking and be able to liaise with employees at alllevels. They will also have the skillsto handle all contacts/data confidently with compassion, patience andprofessionalism.

    The role will suit someone whoenjoys working in a busy team where they will be given direct requests, as wellas work on their own initiative. This is an important role which helps run anefficient service but is also an extremely rewarding one.

    Provide services within well-establishedpolicies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, whilst acting within the requiredsphere of competences for the role at all times.

    Demonstrate sound knowledge of theservice to enable the post holderto contribute and inform decision making within the service.

    Act as principal point of contactfor users of the service eg, individuals from within/outside the Trust, serviceusers and members of the public etc.

    Work flexiblyto meet the needs of the service.

    Develop and maintain good working relationshipsby being, flexible, adaptable, polite, positive and empathetic, communicatingeffectively and informatively.

    Work with sensitivity and have agood understanding of the service provision and issues experienced by its users.

  • Note/minute taking.
  • In using email, maintaining and updating electronic diaries, arranging meetings.
