Overview of role

Location:
Newcastle-under-Lyme

Salary:
£26, hours a week)

Shifts: 2-week shift pattern working every other weekend

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic Hygiene Operative/Industrial Cleaner to join our team. You will be confident to follow procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness across the plant & equipment.

You'll be supported by your team & line manager who'll provide training & support to equip you with the skills & understanding to succeed in this role.

Key Accountabilities

Ensure daily schedules are adhered to & assigned areas meet required standards

Contribute as part of a team to assist in meeting the departments Key Performance Indicators

Follow instruction, training & guidelines set out by the hygiene department

Identify areas of potential associated risk to food safety & raise & action accordingly

Reporting of defects or potential hazards to the Hygiene Controller / Coordinator

Issue & manage deliveries of work wear from the Laundry

Assist manufacturing in reduction of waste & the removal of bakery & returns waste

Cleaning & litter picking of the site perimeter

Replenishment & cleaning of facilities

Cleaning the canteen & surrounding areas

Use of the floor cleaning machine

Flexible as mobility of labour is required for this role

Work alongside pest control technician to minimise the likelihood of pest activity
