Botsford is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Regulatory Business Analyst for our Capital Markets Project. This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks such as CFTC, CSA, EMIR, MIFID, etc., and experience in the Capital Markets environment. The successful candidate will focus on analyzing and implementing regulatory requirements within our trading and reporting systems, including spearheading initiatives related to MIFID/European regulations and participating in system migrations like Infinity to Murex.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Analysis and Reporting: Lead the assessment and implementation of regulatory requirements for SEC, CFTC, CSA, ESMA, and MIFID within the Capital Markets environment. Oversee the regulatory reporting for various initiatives including CDS Market making.
• Business Requirements Documentation: Develop comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) to clearly articulate business needs, regulatory impacts, and proposed solutions. Ensure that BRDs are detailed, clear, and aligned with both business objectives and regulatory standards.
• Business Analysis: Act as a key IT Business Analyst, defining requirements, analyzing impacts, and proposing solutions for regulatory compliance across trading systems.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, Compliance, Executive Stakeholders, and the Regulatory Reporting group to ensure effective communication and alignment on project goals.
• System Migration and Enhancement: Participate in the migration of systems such as Infinity to Murex, ensuring regulatory considerations are integrated.
• Cross-functional liaison: Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business units, translating complex regulatory requirements into actionable IT strategies.
• Process Improvement: Lead initiatives for business process re-engineering to enhance compliance and operational efficiency in legacy and new systems.
• Design and Innovation: Contribute to the design of ISIN/UPI enrichment for Capital Markets, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and business needs.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Strong background in regulatory reporting within the Capital Markets sector, with knowledge of CFTC, CSA, EMIR, MIFID, and other relevant frameworks.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience in IT business analysis, with a focus on regulatory projects. Familiarity with systems like Murex and Infinity is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities, with a talent for dissecting complex regulatory texts and implementing them in business processes.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Project Management: Solid understanding of project management principles, with the ability to oversee projects from conception to completion.
• Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about regulatory challenges
