    The service you will workin....
    Provides quality support to service users who live inthe community and are or have experienced Domestic Abuse. Hestia works in partnership with TransformCranstoun, working in a virtual team with other local agencies.

    Theservice places strong emphasis on co-production, thus ensuring thatthe needs and strengths of service users are paramount in deliveringand developing the service, including developing and maintainingaccess to other community services and activities.

    Pleasenote this post is office based and the successful applicant will beexpected to meet with service users who live in the Suttonborough.

    As aFloating Support Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in ourDomestic Abuse Service.

    One day will never look the same and someof the things you can expect to be responsible for are:

    Tooffer face to face contact with service users who are or haveexperienced Domestic abuse while providing high quality emotional andpractical support.

    Provide relevant support in accordance toservice users' needs through support and safety planning, risk andneeds assessments and through one to one sessions, building theirself-esteem and enable them to live free from abuse.

    To haveexcellent listening skills to support service users to overcome theirtraumatic experiences and signpost them to appropriate supportagencies or therapies.

    To continuously monitor the health andwellbeing, safety and security of our service users, to ensure thatall concerns are addressed in a timely manner.

    Adhere to allstandards of the Floating Support Service Specification and theQuality Assessment Framework conditions, including, service delivery,completing all monitoring and relevant reports, case files andfollowing all policy and procedures.

    Empower service users toimprove their quality of life by promoting and maintaining independentliving for themselves and any dependants they mayhave.

    To develop robust Service User Involvement,including promoting events, networking, fundraising and consultingwith service users to ensure that they are fully involved in servicereview and development.

    To report any safeguarding related concerns andincidents immediately to the line manager and ensure relevant policiesare followed.
    Experience of workingwith people with a range of different support needs, aspirations fortheir future and associated risks.
    Experience of deliveringhigh quality floating/outreach support services to people with a rangeof needs and risks.
    Knowledge of health and safety relevant to role as aFloating Support Worker and working in Service User'shomes.
    An ability to undertake client-focused key working,support planning and risk assessments to maximise Service Users'independence.

    Good understanding of the range of issues,diagnoses and treatment relevant to the client group including mentalhealth and substance misuse.

    Willingness to actively engage in undertakingrelevant personal development and training.
    Previous experience ofusing computer based systems to accurately record work and clientdetails
    Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issuesand ability to address them appropriately.
