Medicines Management AssistantBand: 3 (£22,816 - £24,336)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic MMA to develop their skills by providing Pharmacy Services to our patients at the Glenfield Hospital.
The successful applicant will need excellent communication and team working skills, as you will speak to different members of the clinical team on a daily basis.
We are looking for a positive minded assistant who works well as part of a team and who is committed to providing an excellent standard of patient-centred care.
Applicants must hold a NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy to be considered for interview.

About the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust: )
- Must have QCF/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services.
- To dispense prescriptions in accordance with professional and ethical standards laid down by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- To ensure all drug transactions are entered accurately and timely to the pharmacy computer system so stock discrepancies are minimized.
- To perform receptionist duties as required, receive prescriptions, processdispensing fees, handle cash and enter prescriptions onto the pharmacy tracking system according to departmental procedures
- To maintain ward stock lists for designated areas, reviewing and adjusting stock levels in liaison with ward pharmacists and ward sisters, to ensure adequate stockholdings.
- To maintain standards of safety, tidiness and cleanliness within the department in accordance with COSHH and Health and Safety regulations. To ensure all working practices and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
