Description

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with Joinery/Fabrication projects, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing.

Analyse joinery/Sheet metal project specifications, drawings, and customer requirements to determine the scope of work.
# Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, and any additional costs.
# Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
# Evaluate project risks and factors that may impact costs, such as design changes, material availability, or site conditions.
# Review and interpret architectural plans and specifications, ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
# Prepare detailed and itemized estimates, taking into account different joinery techniques, finishes, and installation requirements.
# Collaborate with project managers and designers to optimize joinery designs for cost-effective production.
# Keep abreast of industry pricing trends, material costs, and market conditions to maintain accurate and up-to-date estimating data.

A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel, with excellent numerical and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to accurately analyze project requirements and cost components. Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Solid understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to joinery.
