We are looking to appoint two Building Safety Consultants who know the Building Safety Act upside down and inside out


A prominent construction consultancy is actively seeking an adept Building Control Surveyor to join their dedicated in-house Building Safety team, preferably situated in the North West.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Building Control to deliver Principal Designer services, aligning with the changes brought forth by the Building Safety Act.

Your primary focus will be ensuring compliance with building regulations across a diverse range of projects, each with its own complexities.

A highly successful Building Safety service provider, renowned for their involvement in some of the UK's most prestigious projects, representing Tier 1 designers and contractors.

The client portfolio includes engagements in projects spanning over 70 storeys, exceeding £1bn in value, including airport & football stadia.

The Role:


Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with leading architects and Tier 1 contractors to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and legislation. Provide strategic compliance advice and support across all project stages. Implement compliance processes and contribute to the development of quality assurance systems. Act as a vital member of client design teams, alongside existing Building Safety leads. Mentor junior team members to foster growth and development within the department.


Person Specification:

Strong foundational knowledge and commercial project exposure in Building Control Surveying. Confident, proactive, and self-motivated, with a commitment to professional development. Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, upholding company values. Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., RICS, CABE, or CIOB) preferred but not essential. Excellent communication skills and a knack for building positive client relationships.
