ER Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our client, a company who are renowned leaders in their industry throughout the UK.

They are seeking an Operations Manager who is a strong communicator with a keen eye for progress and driving change.

As the successful Operations Manager you will maintain a culture of excellence at this site and inspire the team to develop.

This role reports directly into the General Manager.

Role & Responsibilities of the Operations Manager:

  • Delivering excellence in efficiency, safety and compliance, you will effectively manage all aspects relating to people, assets, processes and performance associated with the site.
  • Leadership and engagement of the team, including direct management and development of supervisory colleagues.
  • Effectively managing the site in accordance with business and legislative requirements
  • Managing safety in accordance with the Safety Management system & maintaining a positive safety culture.
  • Adhering with transport compliance, including vehicle maintenance, drivers' hours and Tachograph regulations in addition to Working Time Directive.
  • Delivering targeted efficiency improvements and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Managing compliance of company processes and procedures relating to sales, stocks, financial controls within the operating system
  • Maintenance of safety critical equipment in accordance with PSPI's
  • Ensure refurbishment production targets are met in line with business requirements
  • Managing operating costs and capital spend within budgeted levels
  • Managing site stocks in line with customer demands
  • Maintaining control of business assets in alignment with expectations and standards
  • Professional approach to colleague management to drive effective team working
  • Delivering great customer service and instilling a customer service ethic within your team.
  • Driving positive cultural change and engagement.
  • Ensuring the safety of employees, customers and the wider public by delivering proactive Safety Culture improvement.

About You as the Operations Manager:

  • 3-5 years experience in an Operations Management role within a supply chain environment.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health & Safety with great knowledge of Health & Safety and employment law good practice
  • Proven experience of effective process management and financial controls procedures
  • Have a strong background in effective management of people and problems
  • Able to schedule multiple tasks effectively
  • Able to demonstrate effective communication with customers and colleagues at all levels
  • Prepared to work flexibly to accommodate seasonal influences
