Blair West is supporting Swarm, a pre-revenue business looking to change the way people buy, generate, and use power in their homes. This is a newly created opportunity for somebody looking for a fresh challenge in a newly created position for a highly ambitious company.

The opportunity:

• Assume day-to-day responsibility for Swarm's Finance function, supporting the CFO.
• Produce financial statements, including P&L accounts, balance sheets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Analyse and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations & sufficient controls.
• Create, produce, and analyse management accounts and project profitability analysis for senior management promptly.
• Lead on critical areas on month-end close, including ensuring AP/AR close.
• Support the CFO with annual budgeting; administer and review all financial plans and budgets.
• Provide finance support to the broader business through business partnering to support critical decisions.
• Control the cash flow position, understand the sources and uses of cash and maintain the integrity of funds.
• General financial administration – invoice processing, credit control, verifying new suppliers/clients, etc.

You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you're:

• A Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Experienced in a commercial finance role.
• Excellent in analytics.
• The ability to present reports and findings to the board level.
• Experienced in financial modelling.
