Zen Educate are looking for Teaching Assistants in Caerphilly to service school across the City.


We have recently opened our Cardiff office following the success of our other offices across England, we currently have offices in London, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Devon and Cornwall.


Due to this we are looking for experienced Teaching Assistant, or people who have a background in care/coaching or activites around working with children and have given you transferrable skills to work within the education sector.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with students on a onetoone or small group basis, under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Provide academic, emotional and behavioural support to students.
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour management.
  • Attend and contribute to review meetings and other relevant meetings.
  • Liaise with parents and carers as necessary.

Requirements:


  • Experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Qualification in a relevant area (e.g. teaching assistant, learning support assistant, health and social care, psychology, social work).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for supporting students with children with a range of different abilities

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£80.00-£90.00 per day


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Newport: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

- teaching assistant: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • DBS (preferred)
  • EWC Registration (preferred)
