    SEMH Teacher – SEND School – Bexley – ASAP Start

    Role: SEMH Teacher
    Salary: £34,514 - £51,179 per year (MPS/UPS plus SEN Point 1)
    Contract: Full Time, Permanent
    Start Date: ASAP

    An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at our exceptional school for students with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)

    We are seeking an experienced teacher that can deliver Maths and English to our KS3 students.
    Our students are unable to attend mainstream settings due to their needs and as a result, we work closely with a range of support agencies and other schools to ensure our students receive the best possible education and support for their own personal growth and development.

    The role – SEMH Teacher:

    • SEMH Teacher with QTS and UK Teaching experience
    • Delivering excellent teaching in Maths and English to students with SEMH needs.
    • Developing an inspiring and relevant curriculum at KS3.
    • Focusing on pupils' achievement using data and benchmarking to monitor progress for every child and address any gaps in learning.
    • Acting as a role model and mentor to support the development of our students social, emotional and mental health in addition to academic achievement.
    • Working effectively with parents and building effective relationships with the community, other schools and agencies.

    The person – SEMH Teacher:

    • SEMH Teacher
    • Qualified teacher status at either secondary or primary school level.
    • Relevant CPD evidence.
    • A clear philosophy for the education of young people.
    • Strength of subject knowledge and expertise to develop an excellent curriculum at KS3 for Maths, Science and Humanities.
    • Experience of supporting students with SEMH needs.
    • Ability to communicate well and explain ideas clearly.
