Part-Time Finance Director - Luton (2.5 Days) - £65k pro rata + Benefits - 12 Month Fixed-Term-Contract

Our client, a school's trust based in Luton, are recruiting for a new Finance Director role to work on a 12-month FTC for 2.5 days a week.

To fill this role, it is imperative you have considerable experience working within schools' sector.

This role works withthe executive team to implement the strategy and ultimately be responsible for the business planning and forecasting.


Key Duties:

  • To ensure that accurate, timely and relevant financial information is provided to the CEO, Senior Leadership team and Trustees.
  • Establish the strategic direction and management of Trust finances, ensuring high standards and the development of systems appropriate to the Trust.
  • To be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of an effective financial performance framework, ensuring a balance of focus across budgetary variances, the underlying position, trend analysis and forecasts.
  • Take responsibility for the trust's financial management system, including managing user access, providing training, considering future system developments and generating reports.
  • Complete and submit financial returns as required by the Department for Education.

Personal Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA or CIMA).
  • Considerable experience in the Education industry.
  • Financial Management Experience.
