We are looking for a Train Crew Team Leader (Drivers) to provide day-to-day leadership of the Train Planning & Diagramming Specialists to produce a high quality planning product, maintaining effective workload and manpower planning to achieve industry timescales, working with Train Crew Diagramming Team Leader (Customer Service) to ensure the plan takes into account all of these requirements (TLD1).
Principal Accountabilities
- Responsible for delivering LTP & STP train crew diagrams (TLD4)
- Prepare train crew diagrams that are robust & deliver a train service that will meet the franchise performance targets and issue these in a timely manner (TLD5)
- Liaise with Driver Managers, Operations and Resource Centres to ensure diagrams meet Manpower and Budget plans and to ensure that plans are deliverable within available resources (TLD6)
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing improvements to planning and diagramming processes and systems (TLD7)
Who we're looking for
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training
- Proven track record of effectively leading and motivating teams to achieve deadlines and maintain excellent attention to detail
- Previous experience of using KPIs and benchmarking to drive successful business outcomes
- Experience of Project Management principles and/or relevant Project Management qualifications
- Excellent IT literacy
- Proven success in redesigning business processes to implement faster and smarter ways of working, including IT change
- Track record of building effective and influencing relationships with key stakeholders, including internal customers, peers and suppliers
