    Job summary

    In this position, you will commence as a Band 2 and progress to Band 3 once training is completed

    As a Clinical Support Worker you will be responsible for providing the highest standard of individualised holistic patient care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.

    You will provide assistance to the MDT by effective, prompt and competent undertaking of delegated duties. To work as part of a team, as directed by the team leader.

    Main duties of the job

    Opportunities have arisen to develop your skills and experience in our friendly and well established team who are committed to deliver a high quality Endoscopy service.

    The Endoscopy departments are located at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Bassetlaw Hospital and Mexborough CDC. The successful candidate will be expected to cover at satellite hospitals as directed but will be based primarily at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. The unit operates 7 days per week including evening lists Monday to Thursday. Knowledge of Endoscopy is essential, however full training will be provided. Previous Endoscopy experience would be a distinct advantage.

  • Recent experience in a care setting
  • Understanding of Endoscopic procedures and the role of a HCA

    • Desirable

  • Endoscopy experience
  • Ward/Theatre/OPD experience in a hospital setting

    • Qualifications

    Essential

  • NVQ level 2 in care or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
  • Grade C or above in English, Maths and a Science or equivalent qualification or relevant experience

    • Desirable

  • NVQ L3 in care or working towards
  • Venepuncture & Cannulation scope packages

    • Interpersonal Skills

    Essential

  • Demonstrate good communication skills multidisciplinary with team/clients/ relatives
  • Demonstrate a caring manner with an understanding disposition.
  • Be interested and committed to caring for people from any culture and environmental background or illness
