The Role
Provide a high quality security and car parking service to staff, visitors, and contractors in accordance with SIA guidelines and ISS Company and Client specifications including:

  • Patrol the site, grounds and car parks at regular intervals, in accordance with instructions and also carry out random self motivated patrols.
  • Respond to incidents in line with site policies and instructions. Contact the Police where appropriate.
  • Provide a presence at the vehicle gate entry point at the security cabin entering into discussions with drivers entering and leaving the site.
  • Provide a presence at the staff entry lanes into the site. During busy periods, operate a mobile device to assist in the traffic flow.
  • Provide a presence at the reception area and provide reception duties as required.
  • Work in conjunction with the Site Assignment Instructions and employee handbook.
  • Maintain a Daily Occurrence Book. Complete Incident Reports/statements and all other documentation in a timely manner, bringing them to the attention of the Security Supervisor.
  • Be constantly alert for any potential fire or other security risk and take preventative action as directed. Maintain surveillance of technical, security, fire alarm and other alarm systems, reporting any fault or defect.
  • Respond to staff and visitors enquires with a strong sense of Customer Service. Assist in the arrival and departure of high profile VIP's in conjunction with other security agencies.
  • Escort staff and visitors out of hours between car parks and departments as appropriate.
  • Monitor car parking and traffic flow on site, identifying abuse of car parking services and advising on possible solutions. Direct traffic on site as necessary or under the instructions of the Operations Manager.
  • Lock and unlock doors, offices and departments when and where specified.
  • Monitoring of the CCTV system and highlighting breaches of security. Coordinate with logistics staff for the marshalling of delivery vehicles at busy periods.
  • To attend training courses as directed. To be in possession of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) Badge and to ensure it is renewed when necessary.
  • To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and to wear a uniform as directed. Personal hygiene is important.
  • Carry out any reasonable request by the Security Supervisor or Operations Manager.

About You

  • Previous security experience
  • A valid frontline security guarding, door supervision or close protection SIA license
  • Knowledge and experience with security systems and other related tech
  • Display a calm and measured manner when faced with challenging situations
  • Great attention to detail and a consistent approach
  • A team player with good customer service skills
