Lothian Broadband deploys ultrafast broadband into communities often left behind by traditional suppliers. We are recruiting a Customer Insight Specialist to facilitate data-led decision-making with the business.

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, you will design, plan and deliver reports and analysis to create actionable insights.


You will look after a wide range of activities including business intelligence, report building, dashboard creation, data manipulation, segmentation and statistical analysis, all supporting significant growth within the company.


What you'll do

  • Use data visualisation techniques (likely PowerBI or Tableau) to create selfservice dashboards
  • Extract and manipulate data sets to provide actionable insights and inform decisionmaking
  • Present findings to key stakeholders across the organisation
  • Use customer insights to inform product structure and pricing including acquisition, renewals, retention, discounting and incentives
  • Optimise our data analytics capabilities to monitor KPIs, identify trends and develop market insight using data from multiple sources
  • Monitor and report on market trends and competitor activity
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Support prospect and customer engagement activity to improve CX and journey management

What you'll bring

  • Demonstrable track record of success as a data analytics practitioner
  • Thorough knowledge of tools such as SQL, Python


  • Data visualization

  • Power BI/Tableau
  • Understanding of database architecture technologies including MySQL
  • Experience using insight and analytics to deliver improved cost to acquire / cost to serve / marketing effectiveness
