    Default job background
    Description

Podium Analytics (Podium) is a charity with a clear and ambitious vision to create a world with more sport and less injury.

Committed to significantly reducing the incidence and impact of injury in sport, the charity was founded with the belief that, to see the full benefit of sports participation, more needs to be done to address the issue of youth and grassroots sports injury, which is an under-researched, under-resourced and often overlooked issue.

Podium advocates a science-led, data-driven approach, inspired by the experience of its Founder and Chairman, Sir Ron Dennis CBE, as well as a collaborative one, and works closely with world-leading Research organisations, Global and National Governing Bodies of Sport, Professional Sports Leagues, UK Government, Technology partners, and Sports Clubs and Schools across the UK.

Podium embraces equality, diversity and inclusion and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified candidates regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexuality, religion or belief, disability, parenting, caring or marital status.

As a Graduate QA Analyst in the Technology Team, you will support the business and be responsible for the quality assurance and testing of Podium's digital systems.

The Graduate QA role will play a pivotal role within the technology team, working closely with our developers, designers and Business Analyst in helping to take work from development, through to execution.

You will work across key streams of work at Podium, providing quality assurance in an Agile dominant environment.

The role will report directly to the Project Portfolio Manager, closely collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

This role will support the Project Portfolio Manager and the wider team in delivering and maintaining the quality of Podium's digital systems in line with the organisations strategic priorities, including:

Responsible for the development and improvement of internal QA processes
Conducting manual and automated testing across various platforms and devices
Performing regression testing to ensure stability after code changes
Conducting exploratory testing to discover potential issues beyond initial plans.
Monitoring bug resolution progress and report on overall test coverage.
Contribute to defect analysis meetings and provide technical insights
Actively learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and testing methodologies
Participate in relevant training programs and workshops
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in QA
Participate in business analysis and design discussions to provide a QA perspective

The role will require a can-do, creative attitude to getting work done, the ability to multi-task, prioritise and time plan effectively, and the intuitive understanding of what it takes to deliver against a broad programme of activity.

Excellent planning, high attention to detail and a focus on high standards of delivery are all essential. You must be able to react quickly to changing circumstances, both using your initiative and taking direction as required.

Good understanding of current and emerging technologies, and of how other enterprises are using them to drive digital business.

Strong analytical skills to identify, analyse, and troubleshoot software issues and defects.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and timelines.
Computer literate, including Microsoft Office suite.

Eagerness to learn and develop skills in software testing, including staying updated with industry best practices and emerging trends.

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent alternative experience.
    Relevant certifications in software testing.
Only science and data can drive deep understanding and meaningful, measurable change.
