About The Role
The senior care worker plays a crucial role in providing care and support to elderly.

Their responsibilities encompass various aspects of their resident's well-being ensuring their physical emotional and social needs are met here of some key aspects of the senior care workers role: medication administration supervision of the care staff, health monitoring, emotional support documentation and reporting to your line manager team collaboration including health professionals and relative and adherence to policies and regulations.

You'll be working at Sandbanks Resource Centre which is located in Bedfont, Feltham. The home is a residence for 60 older people.


Key Responsibilities:


  • To participate fully in a planned rota covering 24 hours and 7 days, and manage their hours, flexibly, between hands on care duties, and the duties of the 'Designated Responsible Person'.
  • To record observations, incidents, and concerns about service users in an accurate and concise manner and to carry out care plan assessments and fully consult with resident and or the representatives regarding individual goals and the preparation of their Care plan.
  • To support the service with compiling work schedules, covering absences and planning to ensure all relevant systems and documentation is kept up to date.
  • To represent and maintain the vulnerable residents' individuality, choice and control at all times and advise a manager or duty Social Worker immediately of any concerns regarding safeguarding or neglect.

Your Skills:


  • Good communication using the English language. All documentation especially care plans, incident forms; medication records are clear, concise, factual and accurate. Completed in line with policies and procedures and in a timely manner.
  • This is a progressive and responsible role for an experienced, confident and passionate care professional.
  • Skilled in the use of technology and have range of computer skills, word excel and Microsoft.
  • Able to think clearly process information and priorities duties and direct a staff team.

Professional Qualifications:


  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in health and social care or be working towards it.
  • Proven Experience of managing/supervising a staff team.

Essential for the Role
Enhanced DBS check is required for the role.
