    SENIOR BID DIRECTOR
    This would suit a Senior Bid Director, based anywhere in the UK - hybrid role: 2 days office / site based, 3 days at home.

    £SIX figure salary (fully negotiable) with excellent benefits package including circa 50% bonus, excellent corporate benefits
    Job PurposeThis role forms a key part of the Senior Leadership Team within a leading PFI / PPP Infrastructure Investor and has a key role to play in ensuring the strategic growth plan is delivered.

    The Senior Bid Director will work with the wider team to deliver successful Preferred Bidder status, the Financial Close of both competitively tendered and negotiated transactions, acquisitions, and any refinancing projects.

    The role holder will have full commercial responsibility for ensuring the appropriate allocation of risk with Partners, Funders, Contractor's, Consultants and Suppliers considering the interests of shareholders, the wider Investment Group and other key stakeholders.

    They will work to establish and develop positive relationships with the stakeholders of the wider Infrastructure sector including the legal advisory community, to promote the Investors reputation as a market leader.

    As a senior leader you will also play a key part in helping drive a culture of continuous improvement within the company, ensuring that the Company's commercial solution represents the latest sector innovations, whilst remaining within the acceptable risk parameters.

    The role would ideally suit a highly skilled and experienced senior bid commercial professional with a solid financial and legal background with experience of bid management from initial business development (inception) through to financial close in a PFI / DBFO environment or equivalent.

    Roles and ResponsibilitiesLead business development and new transactions to ensure successful Preferred Bidder award and Financial Close.

    This includes, and is not limited to, negotiation of the following:

    o project agreementso facilities management contractso design & build contracts including contractor security packageso senior financing arrangementso junior financing and equity arrangementso management service agreementso insurance packageo appointments of advisers, consultants and professional teams, and design team members, including warranties, reliance letters, security, and insurancesManage and lead the bid / wider business development team.

    Being responsible for the identification of risk on Projects and the delivery and implementation of strategies to ensure the adequate reporting, management, and mitigation of all such risksHave responsibility for negotiating all contracts entered, including appointments, terms of engagement and other commercial arrangements in relation to business development activitiesEnsure any relevant funders' due diligence processes are appropriately undertakenReport to the Investment Committee on commercial matters arising and assisting in the governance approval process for new transactions at the final tender and the Financial Close stagesAct as a key member for the bidding teams, contributing to:

    o The competitive strategy of the company to secure new projectso The internal stakeholder management processo Final tender quality reviewso Solution presentations to clients and advisorsProactively engage with existing and potential new clients and other key stake holders to create and grow positive relationships and new business.
