Mobile Maintenance Engineer

Newark Based - covering the UK

The Company


This is a great opportunity to join an award-winning business who've been around for over 40 years, who are known for their range of industrial products and excellent customer service.


Due to increased demand for their products and the growth of the business, they are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to service their customers across the UK as part of an established service team.


The Role
Based out of their impressive Newark facility, and typically working within the Rail industry, you'll be responsible for:

  • Fault finding electrical/mechanical and repair work.
  • Stripping, cleaning, reassembly of mechanical plant mainly pumping systems both liquid and compressed air.
  • Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance activities, as well as any unplanned issues
  • Considering rootcauses of issues and correcting these to avoid future issues
  • Working away from home on contract work as required.
  • Out of hours working and overtime working.
  • Participation in the 24hour breakdown rota
  • Assistance with estimating and preparation of quotations.
  • Assistance with preparation of Method Statements & Risk Assessment
  • This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday on days, with a 1 in 9 callout rota, which you are paid extra for.

The Person
You'll obviously need certain things in your locker to be considered, which includes:

  • Sound engineering background, qualification in an electrical engineering discipline
  • 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations
  • Valid clean driving licence
  • Industrial electrical installations and fault finding
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Manmanagement and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and within a team.
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • A knowledge of industrial mechanical plant
  • Ability to work to instruction.
  • Good health with the ability to carry out manual work
