After a 6-month successful probation period rising to £29, 096 if working a 2-shift pattern or £30, 655 if working a 3-shift pattern

THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to work for our client based in Washington. This is an opportunity to work for a true global organisation who specialise in producing high volume manufactured parts. The business placesquality and H&S at the forefront of the business.
This is an excellent role with future progression opportunities. The main job purpose is to lead teams to optimise Quality, Cost and Delivery within a safe working environment

THE ROLE
To produce parts when necessary, to replace missing operators for short periods, to re-enforce the line when needed. (Max 40%)
To participate in continuous improvement activities and workshops
Train operators and newcomers as and when required
To co-ordinate work within the Production area
To monitor continuous improvement of work processes and work environment
Ensure all safety daily safety checks are conducted and HSE instructions are followed
Participate in HSE Core Teams and ensure compliance to the 7 Safety Fundamentals and 13 Highly Recommended Logistics Guidelines as applicable
To re-work parts
To participate in QRCI and problem-solving groups and help to provide solutions to problems
During the pursuit of all duties the Code of Ethics will be adhered to at all times

THE PERSON
Educated to GCSE level (English and Mathematics essential)
Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques essential
Experience of working to targets essential
Experience of working as part of a team essential
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment essential
Experience of working within an automotive manufacturing environment is desirable
Flexibility essential
Ability to communicate effectively
Effective Organisation skills essential

THE PACKAGE
3 shift rotation pays £29, 096 rising to £30, 655 after 6-month probation
Production - 3 shift rotation at present

Day Shift: 7am - 15:00pm

Late shift: 3pm - 23:00pm

Night Shift: 11pm - 07:00am
