Select are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Quality Inspector for one of our clients on the out skirts of Norwich, Our client are leaders within their field, due to an ever increasing order book, they are looking to add an experienced Quality Inspector to join their established team.

The role of the Mechanical Quality Inspector is to ensure that all products meet the quality requirements of the customer and the organisation.

As a hands-on inspector, you will be responsible for executing general inspection functions both visual and dimensional, including correctly and properly using mechanical measuring devices and reporting results.

Locate datum's on parts and measure dimensions such as angle, arc and radii using a combination of aids such as parallel bars, gauge blocks, v blocks, sine bars and precision measuring instruments such as a digital height gauge.

· Report quality problems or findings to the chief inspector and follow up to ensure corrective action has been put in place.

· Previous experience in a quality or inspection role working within a manufacturing or engineering environment · Good working knowledge of engineering drawings including GD&T · Experience using hand held measuring equipment.

• Good computer skills · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Have the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues and work as a team · Strong attention to detail. · Full Driving Licence to drive in the UK and abroad. · Valid passport with no travel restrictions. Desirable · Use of CNC/ CMM's (PC-DMIS) · A willingness to learn and develop. · Qualification in mechanical engineering.
