    An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Information Access Unit in the Information Management Branch for a permanent full time Performance Officer, who will continuously review and provide Unit performance data to enable the Branch and Force to report on Information Access requirements and comply with relevant Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation.

    The post holder will also supervise and support the Information Access Assistants and Apprentices to deliver an effective service.


    With a detailed knowledge of Data Protection and Freedom of Information Legislation, the successful candidate will be self-motivated and ambitious, with strong leadership and communication skills, and able to collaborate with staff at various levels across the organisation, with a proven ability to collate reports and statistics, and present information to Senior Management when required.

    Trend analysis and monitoring of any emerging issues will play a vital part of this role to be able to provide advice and guidance to the Unit Manager and Senior Leadership Team to mitigate any risks to the organisation relating to incoming demand.

    Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and an adaptable approach are essential, with the ability to manage competing priorities and display strong creative problem solving skills when required.


    The post holder will be based at GMP Force Headquarters with a combination of remote working and office-based attendance as required.
