Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Economics (Sedlacek group)

Grade 7:
£36,024-£44,263 annum (with a discretionary range to £48,350 per annum)

The post-holder will be a member of a research group, coordinated by Petr Sedlacek, with responsibility for carrying out research as part of the ERC research project "Entrepreneurs, Firms and the Macroeconomy".

The post holder may also provide guidance to junior members of the research group including research assistants, PhD students and project volunteers.

You will hold, or be close to completion of, a PhD in a relevant discipline together with relevant experience. You will possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work with established research programmes. The skills you will hold include macroeconomic modelling using heterogenous agent models (especially heterogeneous firms), Matlab programming skills. Experience with micro-data analysis is desirable.

You will also have the ability to manage your own research tasks and work with some independence on assigned work.

This role is available until the end of May 2024 (externally-funded) post which can commence as soon as possible.
