    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dental Nurse to join our team at Ashton Health Centre within the Lancashire Care Dental Service.

    We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated diverse individual, with excellent communication skills to assist in the delivery of Dental Care. You must be a qualified Dental Nurse, have at least 2 years post qualification experience. You will have a good standard of education and the ability to work well within a team are essential.

    You will mainly work at your base clinic; however you may also be required to work across the Lancashire Care Dental Service, Covering sickness and annual leave. You will have opportunity to study for post registration qualifications including sedation/ IV sedation and will have access to plentiful In house CPD and clinical supervision.

    An enhanced criminal records check will be required for this post.

    Main duties of the job

  • To provide clinical and non-clinical support to Trust employed Dental Clinicians operating across Lancashire Care Dental Service footprint.
  • To be the link between service user and clinician.
  • To prepare the surgery for the service user and assist the clinicians in a range of dental treatments.
  • To assist in the provision of oral health care including the prevention and health education to individual Service Users who may have learning or physical difficulties, mental health illness, be medically compromised, dependent elderly or have a dental phobia.
  • To undertake reception duties and carry out administrative duties as necessary.
