    Description

    Our client is looking for an experienced Security Engineer to carry out installations, service and maintenance, and corrective works on a day to day basis out in the field, at their clients' sites.

    This is a varied and interesting role, with a focus on delivering excellent service in a customer-facing sphere.

    Generally, our client installs CCTV and Access Control systems as the bulk of their work, so an understanding of CCure, Gallagher or Milestone, for example, would be advantageous.


    A Security Engineer is required to:

    • Carry out investigative and corrective works as per the job specifications for each site and within authorised time frames
    • Assist engineering colleagues in following instructions from Project Managers, Coordinators and senior team members
    • Take responsibility for daily communication logs and documentation, ensuring it is accurately recorded at Head Office
    • Uphold the values and vision of the business by delivering professional and efficient installations and services
    • Ensure all works are carried out effectively and safely, abiding by all H&S policies are adhered to at all times
    • Drive a company vehicle respectfully and within the law, travelling to sites across the UK
    • Stay away from home overnight when required
    We are looking for a Security Engineer with:

    • A minimum of two years' demonstrable experience in an engineering or similar service role
    • A CSCS or ECS card. Holding IPAF or PASMA is a bonus but not essential
    • A creative and energetic approach to work, with an understanding of, or interest in Agile working methods
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Strong organisation and time management prioritisation of tasks
    • Competence using Microsoft Office 365, including Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
    • The ability to work independently, sometimes under pressure or on multiple tasks
    • Excellent communication skills
    This role is a full-time, permanent position working within the Gloucestershire region with occasional work further afield.

    It is paid door-to-door, with 30 minutes at each end of the day deducted for travel time, and another 30 minutes for lunch.

    Overtime is paid at time and a half, and a financial incentive for staying away from home is also paid alongside expenses.

    A company van and fuel card is provided. This role offers a salary of £30-35,000pa plus benefits.
