Description

Syncord Education are working in partnership with a number of secondary schools in the Sheffield area to recruit Cover Supervisors for day to day and long term absences.

Duties:

Provide supervision and support to students in the absence of regular teachers
Follow lesson plans and ensure that students are engaged in meaningful learning activities
Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Assist students with their academic work, providing guidance and support as needed
Foster a safe and nurturing environment for students with developmental disabilities, including autism
Utilize creative writing and literacy education techniques to enhance student learning
Collaborate with teachers and staff to address individual student needs
Provide mentoring and guidance to students, promoting their personal and academic growth

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting
Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and approaches
Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student development
