Introduction:

This is a hybrid role with 1-3 days per week required onsite. The rest of the work can be done from home.

My client is a large defence and engineering consultancy who work closely with the Ministry of Defence and other government clients.

They are looking for a Principal Safety Consultant with a good understanding of the aerospace and defence market to provide consultancy advice and direction to customers on the development of safety management solutions.

Key responsibilities:

Develop Safety Management solutions at enterprise, platform, or system level
Interrogate data systems to assess safety performance and risks and enhance decisions
Understand future needs to support the development of capability
Develop proposals and provide technical assurance
Support sales and assure work undertaken by project teams
Act as a lead for major safety management assignments for clients

Skills & experience:

Experience in a Safety Critical role within the defence industry
Ability to develop Safety Management solutions at enterprise, platform, or system level
Experience in the implementation of Safety Management Systems
Ability to interpretate and analyse results
Ability to develop proposals and provide technical assurance
Working Knowledge of Industry and Defence Standards (Def Stan 00056, DSA02-DLSR.LSSR)
Excellent stakeholder management skills
