Head of Insurer Partnerships - ARD London / Nationwide

Purpose of the Role


This exciting remote based Head of Insurer Partnerships opportunity has arisen to join our Insurer Partnerships & Portfolio Management team reporting to the Commercial Director.


This role will be to identify, develop and maintain strong relationships with Insurer partners and align their goals and strategies with ours.


What you will do
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities.

Collaborating with your line manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following:


  • Identify partnership opportunities and key stakeholders within insurer organisations and establish communications channels to drive mutual business objectives.
  • Serve as the main point of contact to build trust and collaborate with Insurer partners.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align goals and objectives with the insurer partners and implement meetings to continually enhance the engagement.
  • Negotiate and finalise commercial terms and agreements with insurer partners, ensuring alignment with group best practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of commercial agreements, identify areas for improvements and initial necessary adjustments.
  • Drive deals onto an Additional Commission basis thereby maximising revenue where possible.
  • Manage payments from insurers, ensuring they are made in a timely fashion, are accurate and promptly resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications and Experience


This is an opportunity for an individual with a proven track record of delivery in a similar role, managing portfolio placement, facilities and panels in the UK personal lines insurance market.

You will need to have excellent knowledge of the personal lines and private client markets including is dynamics and customer behaviour.


You will need to be able to work at a senior level, demonstrating excellent communication skills and interaction with senior leaders as well as external stakeholders.

You will be customer focused with the ability to forge long-term relationships, anticipating changing needs and expectations and able to respond in a manner that benefits the customer and the business.


We are looking for a highly organised, focused proactive leader who is able to identify their own and team's needs and deliver solutions, lead change at a high level thereby adding value.

Commercial awareness and acumen, along with the ability to think strategically is essential to enable sound financial decisions to be made in a competitive market.
