    Job summary

    Are you an experienced HCPC registered Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist looking for a new or additional role with career development opportunities?     This role is part time working a 8 x 4 hour sessions a week at HMP Highpoint, Stradishall, Suffolk.

    You will be responsible for assessing and treating a range of MSK pathologies with some complex and/or chronic presentations. You will need to demonstrate advanced MSK diagnostic and treatment skills, be able to work within the MDT and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.

    This is your opportunity to work as part of a forward thinking, innovative health care team, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, podiatrists and mental health professionals, delivering high quality, best practice treatment. You will also form part of the wider MSK Health in Justice Team comprising of physiotherapists and podiatrists in immigration centres and prisons across the country.

    You will be closely supported and mentored by our Clinical Lead, and this combined with our well-developed appraisal system, in-service training and funding for external clinical courses, you will be provided with an excellent supportive learning environment to continue your professional development.

    With proven post-registration experience of assessing and treating MSK conditions in an outpatient setting you must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be willing to learn and develop.

    As a Physiotherapist working with Practice PlusGroup you will:

    Provide outstanding evidence based care, listeningand acting on patient feedback so that care is personalised and informed bywhat matters to patients, focusing on both planned and unplanned care.

    Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeuticrelationships and promoting professional boundaries. Playing an active part inthe assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients carefollowing our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.

    Inspire excellence in your colleagues by beingpro-active in the management of MSK conditions and motivating the wider team toidentify patients presenting with red flag symptoms. You will forge strongworking relationships with the Practice Plus Group healthcare team and thewider prison service.

    Promote best practice, evidence based care andcontinuous quality improvement embedding a culture of reflection and sharedlearning.

    Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensuresafe care supporting your clinical and non-clinical colleagues to do a greatjob.

    Be responsible for your own caseload and waitinglist and be able to work as an autonomous practitioner.
