Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join our team.
As an English Teacher at our SEMH school, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education to students with diverse needs and abilities.
You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic and personal development of our students, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons that cater to the individual needs and learning styles of SEMH students.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to effectively engage students and promote active participation in lessons.
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their ongoing development.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support and wellbeing.
Foster a love for English language and literature among students, inspiring them to become confident and proficient communicators.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
Proven experience teaching English to students with SEMH needs or in a similar SEN (Special Educational Needs) setting (Desirable)
Strong understanding of SEMH and the ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to participate in training and workshops relevant to SEMH education.
