Description
Blackpool Teaching Hospitals are looking for highly motivated and committed Band 5 Staff Nurses to work within the General Surgical Directorate.
The Directorate includes Elective, Emergency General Surgery, Gastroenterology and Urology.
We currently have 2 full time (37.5 hours/week) for a permanent contract for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to work on Ward 2 Gastro .
We are looking for staff who are team players with good communication and who have a dedication in delivery quality care with a commitment in providing a high quality of care with its existing motivated and passionate team.
You will be working in a close knit team within a busy division and we will require you to be flexible in your hours of working to ensure that we can deliver a quality service.
The directorate has an excellent support system and would be an ideal opportunity for both newly qualified and experienced nurses to gain experience on Ward 15b.
You will be given the opportunity to access further study to gain knowledge in your specialty alongside associated courses such as Student Nurse Mentorship and Dementia.
If you are motivated to deliver high standards of care and have the personal qualities and characteristics as outlined in the Blackpool person then this could be the post for you.
The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients.
Blackpool also offers a number of scenic cycling routes round our local parks and across the surrounding countryside, as well as boasting panoramic views of the coast on its picturesque Promenade.
Further afield, Blackpool also benefits from less than three-hour connections via rail to Edinburgh in the north and London in the south.
