Job summary
Due to progression an opportunity has arisen for a Medical Support Secretary to join the busy Urology secretarial team.
The post holder will be required to support in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service. This will involve inpatient and outpatient waiting list management, in accordance with the Patient Access Policy, communicating appointments and admission related information to patients and carers and typing correspondence within performance targets as appropriate. The ideal candidate will have administration / secretarial experience along with excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job
Waiting list management in accordance with the patient access policy and support in the delivery of the 2 week wait and 18 week pathway targets.
Responsibility for handling telephone and other communications with sensitivity and confidentiality using personal judgement to assess each situation and to deal with accordingly.
To deliver a high standard of communication to build and maintain good working relationships.
To deliver a high standard of typing.
