Head of Workforce Planning & Development

Permanent, Full-time

Hybrid, 2 days per week (London office)

Salary c. £70K

Memcom recruitment are looking for an exceptional candidate who can develop the necessary plans, strategies, activities and training to overcome the long-term shortage in a specific group of medical professionals.

We need more medically trained professionals to support public health, and as the Head of Workforce Planning and Development, you will play a vital role in developing new initiatives to grow the workforce, including trainees, overseas professionals coming to the UK and those who wish to gain entry to the register of specialists via the portfolio pathway.

Each of these different routes works to a regulatory framework and the Head of Workforce Planning and Development will need to navigate these to achieve the overall objective growing the future workforce.

You'll be responsible for evolving our client's vision and strategy for increasing the pipeline of prospective trainees as well as overseeing all UK training operations relating to trainees looking to enter the specialty.

You'll also oversee the strategy created to drive global workforce initiatives, and lead and motivate a high performing team in the delivery of a programme of activities.

Whilst our client operates a flexible working policy, it is expected that the successful candidate will need to work a minimum of two days from their London-based office, as well as travel as the role requires.
