    CLINICAL RESEARCH FELLOW IN

    PAEDIATRIC SURGERY

    ROYAL HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN

    Applications are invited for the above post commencing on 7th August 2024 for one year. You must have completed the foundation programme or equivalent. You must hold GMC registration and a licence to practice. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a research project in a specific area of paediatric surgical practice as well as undertaking clinical time and supporting the on-call service. There are also opportunities for Medical Education (simulation training for Foundation Doctors and practical skills teaching to medical students), audit, service development programs and quality improvement projects.

    This post will not lead to a CCT in the specialty, but time spent in this post may be beneficial in applying to specialty training in various areas of Surgery or in related paediatric surgical specialties.

    Post holders will be expected to participate fully in the departmental educational programme and be subject to learning agreement and engagement with the ISCP process. Although these posts do not hold educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean, they will give valuable experience in paediatric surgical and associated specialities (general surgery, urology, orthopaedics and Neonatology).

    To practice medicine in the you need to hold both GMC registration and a license to practice.
