RPS Group has an opportunity for an
Accounts Payable Finance Officer to join our shared services team based at
Milton Park, Abingdon.

This is a supportive team environment that will provide you with opportunities to develop and build your knowledge and experience within the area of purchase ledger.

Our Finance Shared Services team is involved in a wide variety of accounts administration
- related work to support the whole UK business.

Working in a friendly team environment from our HQ office, you will benefit from free on-site parking and standard working hours of 9am - 5pm hours)

What you'll be doing

  • Ensuring all invoices are correctly and accurately processed in the finance system and paid on time.
  • Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations, investigating, and resolving any differences.
  • Building and maintaining excellent working relationship with the wider finance/operations team and external clients
  • Dealing with all queries relating to supplier accounts from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete weekly, monthly creditor reviews and attend a monthly meeting.
  • Ensure compliance in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Support with the year end audit and provision of supporting information to auditors.
  • Other ad hoc support to the wider finance, operations team as and when required.

Who we're looking for


To be successful within this role you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts payable function as part of a large high-volume team.

Demonstrating strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong IT skills and experience of working on multiple systems as the company embarks on a change in its core UK finance system.


In addition:

  • Experience of working within a finance team and or accounts payable team
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • A good working knowledge of accounts payable, experience of working in a high volume fast paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A professional cando attitude with excellent problemsolving skills.
  • Proficiency in MIS office and finance software, Oracle is desirable.
  • Proficient in Excel, V-Lookups, Pivots.
