A Logistics Manager is required to join a manufacturing company in Croydon / South London (Site based ). 12month contract paying circa £45-£53k or £300p/d.


The Logistics Manager joins a growing organisation, is responsible for team management, Global Logistics, and distribution via 3rd party (3PL) Logistics providers.


Ultimately you will lead the logistics team to ensure goods and orders are delivered on time and in full, whilst minimising costs to serve resulting leading to increased customer service ratings and higher levels of profitability.


Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the Logistics function, lead weekly Logistics meetings
  • Key contact for 3PL, Customs and Shipping partners
  • Develop Operating KPIs and SLAs for Stock, Inventory, distribution and Logistics etc.
  • Identify and implement new processes and procedures to support growing sales volumes
  • Proactively resolve supply issues in a proactive manner
  • Budget management for 3Pl partners
  • Identify and source new Logistics and Freight Partners
  • Ensure compliance with Domestic and International shipping policies. Customs, Vat, ITAR, UK, EU and USA exports, ITAR legislation etc
  • Work collaboratively with other supply chain teams including Planning, CS and Warehouse. Contribute positively to group morale and the team culture.

Whom we are looking for:


  • Suitable applicants will possess strong international Logistics experience
  • Logistics experience will have been gained within manufacturing
  • You will have managed In-House and Outsourced 3PL Logistics
  • Industry specific qualifications such as CILT / MILT / APICs is beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of Import, Export, Customs, Inco Terms etc
  • Intermediate / advanced Excel skills
  • Microsoft AX ERP usage is beneficial.
  • Willing to work onsite, full time
  • Applicants must be eligible to work and remain in the UK until Jan 2

What is on offer?Salary in the region of £45k to £52K with benefits. Day rate up to £300
