Stores Person / Forklift Driver


We are seeking an experienced Stores Person / Forklift Driver to join our clients busy warehouse team on the afternoon ahift.

As a Stores Person you will be responsible for managing warehouse inventory, booking in / out stock. Utilising the computer system. Loading and Unloading trailers using the forklift. Moving stock around the stores / warehouse as needed.

Job Duties

  • Operate a forklift to load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves
  • Use a warehouse management system to track inventory and locate items
  • Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including preparing orders for shipment
  • Perform regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs
  • Maintain a clean and organised stores area
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all company policies

Skills:


  • Counterbalance Forklift Experience, preferably also 4 Way forklift.
  • Proficient in operating a forklift and other warehouse equipment
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle materials safely
  • Basic math skills for inventory tracking
Hours of work 2pm - 11pm Mon - Friday


Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm

Contract length: 3 months


Pay:
£31,000.00 per year
