    Job Description

    This is a newly created position in the business. Following separation from a FTSE 250 PLC, the Fastmarkets finance team have to establish some new finance functionality and this role is critical in being part of a team that delivers the functionality with associated processes, and establishes them as business as usual.

    The role will require a highly dynamic individual, who can implement, document, execute processes for finance systems and work alongside our IT function and third-party partners to deliver change.

    Principal Accountabilities

    Finance application operations accountabilities

    • Responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of NetSuite and any of its associated technologies (currently includes, Concur, Stripe, Avalara, FloQast & integrations)
    • Responsible for the 2nd line support of all users by triage, resolving user/system issues. Seek support from our NetSuite SI Partner and/or NetSuite when appropriate.
    • Responsible for the maintaining user access and roles, including on/off-boarding, and finance organisational changes.
    • Responsible for managing all data imports, data cleansing and data maintenance efforts when required.
    • Support the bi-annual system upgrades, train users on new features, develop workflows when required, build new save searches/reports and document key processes.
    • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of custom records and fields when required.
    • Work closely with other workstream leads to ensuring alignment and integrity of data across core business systems.

    Lead netsuite consultant for continuous improvement projects

    Lead the design of all enhancements and additions to the Day 2 solutions.

    • Act as Fastmarkets internal NetSuite expert, support the design phase and eventual signoff.
    • Support the Finance IT lead on the technical design requirements gathering and feeding into the Technical Design Authority and NetSuite Design Solution.
    • Provide advise on best practice when evaluating non-standard solutions and working with the SI on the best outcome to minimise scripted customisations.

    Lead the Build phase of Netsuite enhancements, working alongside ourNetSuite SI and the Finance team:

    • Lead and support the NetSuite SI
    • Working with the Finance SLT to develop dashboards, saves search and custom reports where required.
    • Working with the finance SMEs, to ensure all reporting requirements are met during the build.
    • Supporting the SI on the integration with key partner add-on, such as Concur, Stripe, Avalara, Anaplan, to name a few.

    Support the Finance Training strategy

    • Provide continuous training and education throughout the implementation.
    • Develop and provide remote/classroom UAT training ahead of testing.
    • Create digestible training material to support Fastmarkets end users at go-live.

    Lead the Testing phase of the implementations

    • Lead the creation of the use cases, test scripts by working with the Fastmarkets Finance SMEs and SI.
    • Lead the SIT testing from a NetSuite technical perspective.
    • Support the day-to-day UAT esters.
    • Lead the triage of any issues/bugs from FM testers before handing over to the SI for resolution.

    KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.

    • NetSuite specialist who has +3 years experience in building, and configuring and supporting the application
    • NetSuite ERP and Administrator Certification.
    • Experience in implementing, developing or managing other non-ERP finance applications
    • 5+ years experience in in accounting or finance operations roles
    • Experience in a multi-currency and multi jurisdiction organisation
    • Experience of waterfall & Agile software development life cycles (SDLC)

    • Can challenge current practices and think innovatively in executing work.
    • Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines across the year.
    • Able to solve problems with creative and pragmatic ideas and uses sound judgements based on risk assessment.
    • Attention to detail, ability to rapidly understand end to end business operation and inherent risks
