    Job summary

    This post is only open to internal applicants of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB).

    The post will be embedded within the Office of the Chief Executive and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of reception and operational oversight of the primary ICB office at County Hall. The postholder will provide a full range of administration support for the day to day running of the ICB reception and managing the workload of the receptionist as well as providing support and training to these staff, exercising judgement in identifying and prioritising conflicting priorities.

    The post holder will assist the Head of Risk, Assurance and Delivery in ensuring robust health, safety and security polices and processes are in postholder will be required to work flexibly, recognising the ICB's new ways of working principles, with all other ICB colleagues providing an integrated approach, resilience and the ethos of "one team" in ensuring the delivery of the business needs of the ICB.

    The Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board(ICB) was formally established as a new statutory body on 1 July 2022, replacing the eight clinical commissioning groups across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

    Job responsibilities

    Communication Communicate in a courteous, professional manner at all times. Build and maintain with all key stakeholder groups including directors, executive directors, senior responsible officers. Deal with day-to-day correspondence within the directorate prioritising and communicating in an efficient manner. Manage email communication in a timely manner. Recognise the need for confidentiality in respect of complex or controversial information held within the directorate.

    Financial Management Act in a way that is compliant with the ICBs standing orders and standing financial instructions in the discharge of budget management responsibilities. Demonstrate budgetary awareness and use resources in a considered manner as relevant to the role.

    People Management Line management responsibility. Identify own training needs and attend relevant courses/study to enhance personal development. Support the adoption and roll out of training of others including new staff in relation to all areas within the remit of this role. Participate in own appraisal process and personal development. Ensure all mandatory training is up to date on an annual basis. Forger close positive working relationships, in order to support an effective matrix working approach to achieve the ICBs objectives.Research and development Contribute to the development of the directorates systems, processes and procedures. Undertake surveys and audits as necessary as relevant to own areas of work participating in annual staff surveys and staff wellbeing campaigns as required.

    Policy and Service Development Follow existing policies and procedures of the ICB. Implement and disseminate new/reviewed policies and protocols in relation to own area of work. Embed best practice across the organisation. Propose changes to policies and procedures within the directorate.

  • Good general education to GCSE level or equivalent including Maths and English.
  • NVQ Level 4/diploma level qualification or equivalent
