About the Client and the Role:

My client, a prestigious and globally renowned name in financial services is seeking a heavily experienced
Cyber Threat Specialist to act as
Team Lead for the
Cyber Offence Team, the team responsible for Red/Blue Team testing within the client's
Threat Detection & Response Team - on a
permanent basis.


A key function of this role will be focus on
Managing and Leading Penetration Testing (Red & Purple Team) in-line with a major internal security testing project (that is expected to last minimum 6-12 months), therefore excellentknowledge and practical experience of pen testing is a heavy requirement.


Key Areas of Focus of the Team:

  • Penetration Testing
  • Password strength testing
  • Bug bounty program
  • Internal exposure assessment
  • Breach and attack simulation

Main Responsibilities:


  • Take lead throughout offensive security assessments, strategy and testing
  • Manage the pen test environment (Red & purple teams)
  • Active participation in leading threat intelligence, threat hunting, breach and attack simulation, bug bounty.
  • Manage and develop strategy and programme (e.g. Breach & Attack Simulations)
  • Help in the improvement of security test functionality
  • Strong professional background / knowledge of penetration testing
  • Solid background in lead positions (Security focused)
  • Significant understanding and strong relevant experience in IT security (ideally within financial environments)
  • Excellent knowledge of penetration testing toolsets e.g. Kali, Cobalt Strike, Metasploit, Bloodhound, Mimikatz, Burp Suite, Nessus, etc.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications ( OSCP, CREST CCT, CREST CCSAS, CISSP, CSSLP, or GIAC (GPEN/GXPN/GWAPT/GSEC/GCIH)
