As a Barclays Corporate Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for working closely with the Corporate Banking business teams, key stakeholders and other members of the Global Corporate Banking Compliance Team to support and enhance the Complianceculture within the organisation by providing technical guidance, support, tailored feedback on regulatory issues specifically focussed on a part of the overall Corporate Bank product set.

What will you be doing?:


  • Providing daytoday compliance advice across the Corporate Banking Business
  • Providing guidance and advice on the product development, product launches and modification, assessing the regulatory risks of new business initiatives
  • Keeping up to date on all regulatory related change e.g. PSD2, MIFID2, PRIIPS as relevant across a range of topics, and adhere to the competency framework in place
  • Supporting regulatory visits and requests ensuring all requirements are responded to, logged and actions satisfactorily met
  • Contributing towards relevant external consultations, discussions and policy debates as required, providing input on assigned Policy and Standards as required
  • Identifying, managing and escalating conduct risks within the product and coverage environment
  • Collaborating with our Monitoring and Testing team to assist in identifying scope for review, supporting our Compliance Risk Assessment outcomes
  • Supporting the Corporate Compliance team more widely, including administration of compliance governance and adhoc tasks as where requested

What we're looking for:


  • Data analysis of large amounts of data and an ability to employ independent critical thinking to provide analytical and investigative insights, identifying and highlighting key risks
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; demonstrating an ability to articulate and present complicated matters simply
  • Proactivity and an ability to lead engagement on behalf of the team at business governance fora, providing measured and proportionate check and challenge to manage risk

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Knowledge of, and experience in, the use of Data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with and an ability to manipulate/interrogate CRM tools
  • Experience in strategic change and change management
