Senior Contracts Specialist required to undertake a 3-month, short-term contract with a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services for the energy industry.
As Senior Contracts Specialist, you'll be responsible for defined elements of pre-award and post-award SCM activities.
Working in a collaborative team to develop and deliver tenders and projects for various geographical regions, offering maximum value to the end-client through locally tailored solutions, automation, and strategic supply chain partnerships.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for defined elements of the subcontracting activities as delegated by the SCM Manager.
- Ensuring compliance with all SCM processes and procedures.
- Supporting supplier selection, bid evaluation, recommendation, commitment and delivery of subcontracted products and services.
- Facilitating and overseeing the delivery of subcontracted products and services in accordance with approved budgets, schedule and agreed terms.
- Developing productive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Highlighting areas of risk and opportunity to all relevant stakeholders.
- Developing ideas and strategies to improve processes and procedures with a view of continuous improvement.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, maintains positive business relationships at all levels across a multicultural global environment.
- Commercially aware and highly numerate, with excellent analytical skills, and an ability to work with detail and accuracy.
- Comprehensive planning and organising skills, able to identify and effectively prioritise workload and consistently meet multiple, often competing deadlines.
- Flexible to adapt to changing priorities within a fastpaced 24/7 global business.
- Experience with SAP and or SAP Ariba is desirable
- Ability to develop and adapt to role requirements, demonstrating selflearning.
- Proactive and positive with a solutionsbased approach, willing to challenge the status quo.
- A collaborative worker, who demonstrates initiative and ownership to deliver unsupervised.
- A handson practical approach and willingness to supporting team activities.
