    Finance Business Partner

    Manufacturing Cost and Operations

    RUTLAND £45K to £65K

    Our client is a successful SME Food manufacturing business.

    Due to expansion, following the acquisition of another business, it is seeking to recruit an experienced Cost & Management Accountant as Finance Business Partner.

    Job Overview


    Work closely with key stakeholders to review product manufacturing costs, create standardised product costings, evaluate product profitability, and seek cost efficiency to improve margins / profitability.

    Work with the Commercial Team to support information, reconciliations and costings to customers.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Manage and control of manufacturing product cost models. Produce and improve costings/ bill of materials and product pricing including liaising with manufacturing and sales team to provide knowledge and analysis on manufacturing costs
    Implement weekly production reports
    Implement production variance reporting
    Margin analysis of both manufactured and bought in products
    Stock valuation and review of obsolescence
    Work closely alongside the NPD, Sales and Operations team to manage business profitability both in current and new products. Ad hoc and business partnering projects for these Teams
    Work with Commercial team on Customer open book costings, analysis and other support
    Reconciliations required for stock and products at customers/suppliers
    Qualifications and Skills

    Must have experience as a Cost Accountant or Management Accountant or Operational Accountant within a manufacturing environment.
    Proven experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment would be desirable
    Professional qualification such as CIMA / ACCA is highly desirable but not essential.
    Thorough understanding of standard costing, BOM's, inventory management and manufacturing processes.
    Advanced Excel skills and the ability to perform data analysis.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and challenge effectively with cross-functional teams and non-finance personnel.

    Salary Range £45K to £65K + Benefits
