    The role of NDT Technician is a site based within the Port Talbot area.

    What would you be doing?

    In its simplest and most explicit form, industrial safety can be a matter of life or death. As an NDT Technician for BES Group, you will be undertaking NDT inspections on a wide variety of pressure equipment.

    Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out inspections in accordance with relevant procedures and to the required standard.
  • Interpreting and evaluating test results in accordance with applicable standards, codes or specifications.
  • Carrying out all relevant equipment checks and calibrations as required by the
    standard or test procedures.
  • Working to international standards ensuring requirements within them are met.
  • Collecting, collating and reporting with sketches, where applicable, the result of the NDT examination.
  • Presenting typed reports containing all relevant information in a factual, comprehensive and unambiguous manner.
  • To maintain all records, standards, procedures, notes and log books in an orderly,
    efficient manner and have them available for audit.
  • What experience do I need?

    Our team consists of the best, highly skilled and qualified NDT Technicians and we want our new recruits to have the same attitude, aptitude and appetite for what we do.

    You will need:

  • PCN Level 2 and experience working in a site NDT environment
  • Experience in Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Ultrasonic and Visual inspections
  • Experience working with Pressure equipment
  • Good level of IT skills
  • Good attention to detail to make sure records, checklists and spreadsheets are correct and detailed
  • Good communication and report writing skills
  • A proactive, flexible and adaptable approach
