Job Purpose
As an Assistant Manager, you will lead and take ownership of multiple engagements and will take responsibility for overseeing and developing junior staff.
Summary of Role & Responsibilities
Are you inspired by the opportunity to work closely with the Manager and Partner to play a key part in the delivery of a distinctive and high quality audit service to a variety of clients from across the public sector?
You'll be a key point of contact throughout the engagement, leading and coaching your team, keeping the client, Manager and Partner informed of any issues arising and on progress and:
- help formulate the strategy and plan the service and project manage the assignment through to completion
- assess and produce high quality work following Mazars' policy and processes, meeting relevant regulatory requirements
- develop and support good working relationships with clients and teammates
- collaborate with colleagues from across the business to identify and capitalise on opportunities and prospects for new business.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
We are committed to your development and provide a range of training and development opportunities to build on your existing expertise.
We are looking for individuals that:
- Hold an ACA / CA / ACCA / CPFA (or equivalent) qualification.
- Have up to date technical knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102 and IFRS.
- Are passionate about public services and have relevant public services audit experience, including leading assignments from planning through to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Are c
ommitted to the management, training and and coaching of trainees.
