- Identify potential book projects that align with the goals and target audience of the company.
- Commission and manage a list for the adult colour-illustrated market in the areas of music, film, graphic novels and wider entertainment.
- Create and manage both the frontlist and backlist programme for the entertainment list.
- Recognise industry trends, market demands, customer feedback and competitor activities to stay informed and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Negotiate acquisitions and contracts.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in commissioning in the entertainment genre.
- Ability to conceive and deliver projects hands on, as well as building publishing strategy.
- Commercial awareness and knowledge of co-edition colour-illustrated publishing.
- Strong communication skills, and able to collaborate in a fast moving entrepreneurial environment.
