    You will be creating particle effects and shaders for gameplay assets, weapons, cosmetics, characters, screen effects and more This is an excellent opportunity for an artist with a passion for stylised VFX to work on a huge, well-established live service game.

    Create textures in software packages such as Photoshop and Substance.
    Create 3D models, animations and simulations where necessary in Maya or equivalent.
    Create Unreal Engine shaders for VFX.
    Experience of using 3rd party engines such as Unreal Engine.

    Good knowledge of 3D art tools such as Maya, Max or Blender, and 2D Art tools such as Photoshop.

    Knowledge of art pipelines in game development studios.
    Ability to work in collaboration with designers, coders, tech artists and art directors.
    Experience on AAA console games.
    Technical knowledge of console performance, specifications and limitations.
    Knowledge of tools such as Houdini and Embergen to generate assets for realtime VFX.
    An ability to communicate your ideas visually, via 2D/3D concepting or image/video splicing.

    First interview (45 minutes) – An informal chat to discuss your experience and working history relating to the position with members of our VFX team.

    This will be a chance for you to get to know the Senior Management team and all the things that make Lucid, Lucid You will have a lot of opportunities to ask any questions about the studio and Culture.
